New York’s Swedish Candy Takeover: 6 Shops, One Viral TikTok

New York is the densest Swedish candy state in America, and it all started with one viral TikTok. In January 2024, NYC influencer Marygrace Graves posted an unpolished tasting of her BonBon haul; the video exploded, the #BonBon hashtag passed 3 billion views, and the world ran out of Swedish candy for a year. Today the West Village alone has five dedicated Swedish candy stores within a few blocks of each other. Here’s every one, with addresses.
